Your reading computes without an email and nothing is kept. Adding one creates your account and emails you a one-tap sign-in link; charts you mark “this is my chart” are then saved to it. Your chart is encrypted at rest, is not sold, and is not sent to anyone else. One thing does leave, because it has to: your email address goes to the service that delivers the sign-in link. The place you type stays here — our own server looks it up in a built-in place index, so no map service receives it. The account strip below lets you download everything under your account — plus your launch-notes signup, if you made one — or erase it, anytime.
Pinpoint your exact birthplace to sharpen your rising sign and houses. This normally does not change your placements or Human Design gates — those depend on the moment in time, not the place. The one exception: a birthplace within a few km of a time-zone border can change the zone itself, which shifts the time (and everything) — we flag that when it happens. Most useful if your rising sign is near a cusp.
What you type here — and in the birthplace box above — is looked up on our own server, against a built-in place index; it is not sent to a mapping company or any other outside service. Towns of about 1,000 people and up are in the index. For a smaller place, or the exact spot, type the latitude and longitude instead.
